A diesel engine is a type of internal combustion engine that uses compression ignition to ignite the fuel. Unlike gasoline engines, diesel engines do not require spark plugs; instead, they rely on the heat generated by compressing air to ignite the fuel. This makes diesel engines known for their efficiency, durability, and high torque output. A Jet Drive engine uses water to propel and steer the boat. Water enters in through an intake on the bottom of the boat and is accelerated through the jet drive unit at the transom, thrusting the boat forward. Steering is achieved by changing the direction of the stream of water as it leaves the jet unit.
